The Events committee is one of the primary committees responsible for delivering on W-KUBS’ mission of providing professional development opportunities for its members. The committee is tasked with developing, planning, and hosting a variety of club-wide events for the W-KUBS community. In the past, our committee has invited high-profile speakers, professors, and graduate students to speak to the club. We have also hosted upperclassmen panels, career workshops, and mentorship programs that have been the centerpiece of the club’s professional development efforts. Our committee members are uniquely positioned in a high-impact role, where the events we host are attended by a large number of fellow students. Moreover, our members are able to develop and hone their skills in event planning and ideation, execution, professional communication, and presentation.
